git clone https://github.com/SplendorHornbill/windows-animated-wallpapers.git
Open-source collection of animated live wallpapers for Windows 10 and 11, played as WebM/MP4 video behind desktop icons.
Why you might care
Aimed at users who want video-style live backgrounds without heavy wallpaper engines. The README claims low CPU/GPU use, auto-pausing when a fullscreen app runs, and 1080p to 4K support; the project is MIT-licensed and portable. You can also drop in your own .mp4 or .webm files.
