Collects and displays high-resolution function-call traces of a running process using Intel Processor Trace.
Why you might care
Shows every function call with about 40ns resolution and a timeline of roughly the last 10ms before a chosen point, without application changes. Useful for diagnosing slow requests or seeing what happened before a crash; overhead is about 2-10%. Requires Intel Skylake or later on bare-metal Linux, since most VMs are unsupported.
