JULES is a community land surface model, used standalone and as the land component of the Met Office Unified Model.
Why you might care
It is the land surface model behind UK contributions to CMIP6 and related intercomparison projects, so it suits researchers running Earth system or land-atmosphere simulations. It can run standalone or coupled into the Met Office Unified Model; the README does not detail other differentiators.
