Official Microsoft repository of Dockerfiles, documentation, and resources for running SQL Server in Linux and Windows containers.

Why you might care

Use it as the reference source for building or understanding SQL Server container images, covering Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS Dockerfiles) and Windows container variants. It points to the getting-started guide, best practices, and the mssql-tools image for sqlcmd and bcp in CI/CD. Note the README references SQL Server 2017 and 2019 images, so check currency before relying on specific versions.
