Apache APISIX is a dynamic, high-performance API gateway that also works as an AI gateway and Kubernetes ingress controller.
Why you might care
Built on NGINX and etcd with hot-loaded plugins and dynamic routing, it suits microservice API management and handles both north-south and east-west traffic. It adds AI-specific features such as routing across multiple LLM providers, retries and fallbacks, and token-based rate limiting.
